Bad Moon Rising

Some people seem to be energised by the moon's phases and others report disturbed sleep and restlessness during the full moon.  And see here even Blogger appears to be having and odd time.

It has not been a good few weeks.  Mother was eventually kept in hospital for three weeks.  The shock of the fall took it's toll and she was very shakey for the first two and then, in her usual manner rallied quickly and was sent home after the third.  She continues to improve and is now seeing to most things for herself  except for her cooking and cleaning.

During her stay I had to conceal from her the seriousness of my BIL's  illness so as not to jeopardise her recovery. Sadly  he didn't make it and died last Friday.  Bloody cancer.

I also had a birthday in the midst of all this chaos - just seemed to pass by.

I sometime wish  that I could explain away all these bad things that seem to be engulfing  not only my family but also lots of friends.  The gods, moon, spirits, whatever, are not happy.

  1. Its strange that you bring this up - Jane and I were discussing exactly the same thing, why is so much going so wrong for so many people? I put it down to the large number of huge solar flares effecting our atmosphere and the magnetic forces.

Glad to hear your Mum is improving and very sorry to hear about your BIL. Bloody cancer indeed xxx

  2. Hello to you, dear Toady. I am so sorry that the phases of the moon or whatever have recently been unkind.

But. Somewhere in there did I not see that you have had a birthday? Let me immediately wish you belated greetings, and best wishes for the year to come. Surely within the months to come (even if we are headed into chilly winter) you will have some cheering days.

    Best wishes to your mom!

Enjoy working on your very fine crafting. When I involve myself in some sort of creativity, be it painting, drawing, or something involving fabric or yarn, I just take myself to another place that always offers a welcome. Perhaps it will be the same for you?

I keep promising myself that one day I will actually get to meet more folks that I have enjoyed knowing over the etherway. You are one of these folks, Toady.
